Tonight's huge World Cup qualifier against Jamaica in Columbus isn't the first time these teams have met in a pressure-packed match on U.S. soil. Harken back to to 2011 and the final round of qualifying for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Heading into the second-to-last match of the round, the U.S. was coming off three straight defeats and needing a win against Jamaica just to ensure even a chance to advance. There was also a slim chance the USA could qualify that day, provided that Honduras lost at home against Trinidad & Tobago – they were unbeaten on home soil and Trinidad had only amassed a single point - – while Mexico had to tie on the road against Costa Rica.
