Some of the U.S. team went to downtown Augsburg for an hour of shopping this afternoon and a few of the players and staff members got a brief history lesson of the historical German town, which included a tour of the Town Hall and the amazing Golden Room (above). As are probably not an Ancient European History major (and if you were, how's that job at Starbucks working out?), we shall spare you the details, but suffice it to say that Augsburg has a very interesting history and the Golden Room was spectacular, especially the ceiling. (See below).

Note: There are some amazing chocolate desserts in Germany of all types. I mean, nirvana. We don't know what these are, but they all look scrumptious.
