Weekends aren't really weekends for the U.S. WNT in the sense that Saturday and Sunday are work days. Today was a busy one as the U.S. team had technical training in the morning and an intense, high-speed 11 v. 11, 90-minute intra-squad training match in the evening the featuring quite a few collisions, some crunching tackles and six goals by six different players: Kelley O'Hara, Lindsay Tarpley, Megan Rapinoe, Alex Morgan and young Kristie Mewis. The players were flying around and should be a bit tired tomorrow, but the squad has a big ESPN promo shoot in the morning and then a full training in the afternoon before, yes...the Super Bowl. The schedule was compacted so that the players can get back to their rooms to watch the big game which kicks at about 6:30 p.m. ET.
