WNT Apr 26, 2011
After a weekend off from WNT training where players from four teams played WPS matches and two others had the weekend off, the U.S. team returned to the pitch today for a solid 90 minute session. The players from the Atlanta Beat and Western NY Flash, who played a hard-fought 2-2 draw yesterday, had the afternoon off from the field and did some regen in the pool. If you've been reading the WNT Blog, you know that the players are on a bit different training schedules according to when they play their club games, but tomorrow all the players will be training together in the morning session. Sydney Leroux and Kristie Mewis have returned to school (they were called in to train for just the first week of camp), but Penn State's Christine Nairn has joined the group as has defender Ali Krieger, who had last week off after returning to the USA after her long club season in Germany.
