WNT Jan 10, 2011
U.S. goalkeeper Hope Solo is back in WNT training camp for the first time since undergoing major shoulder surgery last September. She's not diving or taking part in any drills, but she is doing quite a bit of rehab, doing some handling and lots of kicking. Sore she is, but also very happy to be back training. Solo took part in some of the fitness testing this morning and is looking very good. She still has a few more months of hard work to go before she'll be cleared to participate full-out in training and begin playing matches again, but so far so good on her quest to be ready to go for the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup. We're betting her return to the field will be sooner than later if her progress so far is any indication.
