Nope, not St. Louis. That's the iconic arch over Wembley
The U.S. WNT journeyed to one of the green cathedrals of European football tonight, taking in the England-Ghana match at the new Wembley, a spectacular edifice that is surely one of the great stadiums of the world. It was a long bus ride (when 80,000 are going to a game, there's going to be some traffic), but it was well-worth it to watch a young England team battle a talented Ghana side that pulled off a dramatic equalizer and even better celebration in front of the thousands of Ghanaian fans that filled one section of Wembley. So, the game ended 1-1, but it was filled with good chances and the team thoroughly enjoyed themselves and even shared a few heaping plates of fish and chips. Another highlight: the entire stadium (sans the large contingent of Ghanaians of course) singing God Save the Queen.
