Three alumni of the University of Maryland are here in D.C., two of whom collected national championship titles while in College Park. Maurice Edu captured the NCAA crown in 2005 along with Robbie Rogers, who as a freshman started 20 of 22 games.
Goodson told reporters that he requested 18 tickets for the match on Sunday for family and friends.
“My first time back here (my friends and family) requested 50-60 tickets," he said. "I just had to stop doing that, I can’t be worrying about all that. Close family and friends, they know they’ll have tickets and everyone else: ‘Take care of yourselves and I’ll see you after the game.’”
