The U.S. team is getting a special treat tomorrow afternoon as the team will attend the Bayern Munich-Eintracht Frankfurt Bundesliga match at the sparkling and spectacular Allianz Arena. U.S. head coach Pia Sundhage is excited about the match as well, so much so that she canceled afternoon training the U.S. will only go in the morning. The match is sold out, but after being impressed with the USA's interaction and clinic with some local Germany youths the other day, a kind (and connected) person pulled some strings and got the team tickets. Bayern is sitting sixth in the tables having won just four of nine matches this year, and if you know anything about German soccer, you know that's not cutting it for fans, players, coaches and team administrators alike. Frankfurt is in 9th, but just two points behind Bayern. Allianz Arena is also home to U.S. National Team forward Kenny Coooper, who plies his trade with 1860 Munich in the German Second Division. We haven't seen Kenny yet during our time here, but he had a birthday last Wednesday so happy B-Day to the big guy out of Dallas, Texas.
