WNT Jan 21, 2010
The U.S. Women's National Team will get a special treat during this training camp as they will attend the U.S. MNT match vs. Honduras on Saturday at The Home Depot Center (if you're not going, you can watch the game live on FSC at 6 p.m. PT). For a preview of the match, the team got the benefit of some truly informed insight from none other than MNT head coach Bob Bradley, who took time out of his busy schedule to chat with the players today after WNT training. U.S. head coach Pia Sundhage had asked Coach Bradley to speak with her team and he kindly obliged, talking to the team about his January camp (both the MNT and WNT are staging 20-day camps this month at the HDC), about the USA's recent history with Honduras (the two teams played four times last year, including two World Cup qualifying matches) and about his appreciation for the success and overall competitive mentality of the U.S. WNT, among other interesting topics. Needless to say, the players were very appreciative his eloquent thoughts on achieving success at the highest levels of the game and the time he took to share them. Perhaps he can do the pre-game talk before the Korea scrimmage tomorrow? Ok, that's pushing it.
