The U.S. team finished up its pre-World Cup mini-camp today at the Orangeburg Soccer Complex and despite some intense heat, it was an excellent four days of training. The folks in Orangeburg and Pearl River, N.Y. were great hosts and the team sincerely appreciated the hospitality. The U.S. team will finish off tomorrow morning with a gym workout and then its off to Germany in the late afternoon. Upon arrival in Germany, the U.S. team will immediately begin its preparation in Dresden for its opening game of the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup against Ghana on July 14.
Vicki DiMartino takes off her cleats for the last time in the U.S. before the 2010 FIFA Women's World Cup. She'll put'em on the next time in Germany. The U.S. team scrimmaged in 100-plus degree temperatures today. It should be in the nice and cool mid-70s in Germany.
