WNT Nov 25, 2010
Alex Morgan bears down on Jill Loyden ("bears down"...she goes to Cal, get it?)
Just two more days of training before the USA kicks off against Italy in the most important, and last, game of 2010. Today's practice was the coldest of the week for the U.S. WNT and it actually started sleeting at the end of training. That didn't stop the team from having yet another intense training. When you are a pro and there is so much on the line, you just gotta do the work no matter what. The team trained for just over an hour before boarding the bus with some rosy cheeks. Despite the cold, a good number of the players went shopping in the afternoon, proving that weather never stops the WNT players from a good mall visit. Luckily, they were indoors most of the time. It should be just as cold tomorrow before it starts warming up a bit as we head towards the weekend. The U.S. team will train in the morning, but will travel to the suburbs of Chicago in the afternoon to the home of sister of the U.S. team's general manager and the whole squad will pitch in to make a huge (and early) Thanksgiving dinner. The players will return to the hotel in the early evening and a walk is planned to shake off the inevitable turkey stupor.
No, Ashlyn Harris is not a hooligan looking for opposing fans to brawl with. She's just a smart GK that bundles up.

Happy U.S. players inside Toyota Park. We're not sure if they're happy because they had a great training, or because they are inside
