Normally overseas trips involve some adjustments to food, climate, or conditions. Even for the well traveled veteran, there can be a surprise or two that serve as a reminder that one of the privileges of being on the road is the opportunity to have new experiences.
One guy isn't feeling like that tonight...
Anyone among us ever stayed in a hotel room where the doors to the room open out and not in? To be fair, we think it may be a first this decade for the national team, and definitely takes a little getting used to. For one player, that 'getting used to' process took more than 10 minutes, to the point where he thought he had been purposefully locked in by his teammates and was nearly late for dinner. Needless to say, the ribbing lasted well through dinner.
This might fall into the category of 'you had to be there.' Thankfully, Gary Larsen captured the sentiment in The Far Side.
