The U.S. team went out to dinner tonight at a local Italian restaurant and had a good meal while watching the dramatic and exciting England-France semifinal. But before the team hit the restaurant, the team bus stopped in the main square in Dresden and the team took a photo in front of the famous and appropriately named Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady). There were quite a few fans that gathered to take their own photos and cheer on the U.S. team as it was a beautiful Saturday night in the city center that was packed with people. The church was destroyed during bombing in WWII, but has painstakingly been rebuilt using much of the original stone, which you can easily see as it is black as compared the tan newer stones. All the players signed a book for the sports mayor of Dresden, and then headed back to the bus to drive to dinner.
