Tonight was the night for the USA's dinner out and the players and staff headed to a harbor-side restaurant in Vilamoura where the team has eaten at least once over the past half dozen or so Algarve Cups. The service, the food, the ambiance and yes, the desserts are excellent and as always it was nice to get out of the hotel for a good meal. If you like seafood, the Algarve is the place for you as the fish is about as fresh as it gets (seeing as most of the top restaurants are closer than a Hope Solo punt away from the ocean). Speaking of Hope Solo, she had the prawns! (See above). The training today was not a long one and the team worked on some formation tactics as well as some set plays. Tomorrow is the pre-game training, which also won't be too strenuous, and it will take place in the morning so the players have the rest of the day to relax and get ready for the Iceland game on Wednesday.
