At the end of today's spirited session, the players spent about 25 minutes working on crossing, finishing and free kicks. Even when the official portion of training ended, several players stayed on the field to hone their skills. Marcus Hahnemann gamely stuck around the entire time. "It's my favorite part of training," he said, looking beaten up as he lumbered off the field. The speed, power and movement on the shots from these players is simply remarkable. And to see the 'keepers not only turn shots away but push them out of danger or even catch them is equally impressive.
