For one player on the U.S. roster, tonight's game has drawn special attention from our friends north of the border.
U.S. forward Teal Bunbury holds both U.S. and Canadian passports. His father, Alex, is a former striker who is the third highest scorer and the fifth-highest capwinner in Canadian National Team history. Alex also finished his professional career with the former Kansas City Wizards, where Teal now plies his trade with Sporting Kansas City.
The Canadian press were out at training Friday to get Teal's reaction to facing the country of his birth. Bunbury responded that for him it was just another game and opportunity to help the United States qualify for the Olympics.
