Bryane Heaberlin and Rachel Quon play some cards in the airport to pass the time...
The U.S. U-20 WNT actually had a bit of a long travel day today, leaving the team hotel at 7:30 a.m. for a one hour and 45 minute drive to the Munster Osnabruck Airport. After a short one-hour flight to Munich, the U.S. team boarded a bus for an hour and 15 minute drive to Augsburg, meaning the team spent three times as much time on a bus as it did on a plane today. Still, the travel was extremely smooth from bus to plane to bus as the U-20 WWC organizers here in Germany continue to run a fabulous tournament. The U.S. team took a charter to Munich with two other teams. Of course, the USA's quarterfinal opponent Nigeria was on the plane, but so was Japan, which shockingly excited the tournament after the group stage. The Japanese players are always friendly and willing to try their English, so below U.S. goalkeeper Bianca Henninger takes a photo with 6-foot-1 inch Japanese goalkeeper Erina Yamane and another Japanese player.
