Amber Brooks is excited for her second Women's World Cup at the youth level
The U.S. U-20 Women's National Team shook off its July 4th food coma obtained yesterday at the house of the DiMartino family and the squad went through two two trainings today. The second was a scrimmage against the W-League's Hudson Valley Quickstrike. The teams played three, 20-minute periods in intense 96-degree heat with the USA working on various formations and situational tactics (i.e., they played the last period a woman down). The USA scored two goals during the scrimmage, one by Christine Nairn and the other from Casey Short. The team will have its last on-field training tomorrow before leaving for Germany on Wednesday.
