The set up of the highway here that we travel on every day is such that it requires a U-turn instead of a left turn - there is a large median in between the opposing traffic lanes. Today though, our motorcycle police escort decided to just wing it. Intsead of driving the few hundred extra yards that would have been required from a right turn, our man thought it'd be easier to just drive the wrong way and catch the closer U-turn lane to switch back to the correct side.
Don't worry, it all worked out. The motorcycle cop was pretty happy with himself, waving and giving the thumbs up to our bus driver after successful execution of his plan. I guess you don't get to do that every day, even if you're a cop.
