The U.S. Under-17 Women's National Team touched down in San Jose, Costa Rica, just after the noon time hour on March 7 and were greeted by glorious hot sun and cool breezes. The entire team flew into Atlanta on the evening of March 6 and stayed overnight in order to catch a morning flight down to Central America. The U.S. team flew all the way from the Eastern time zone of the USA....to the Central time zone. Yes, they even gained an hour, basically flying straight down. The lack of a major time change and the short flight (3.5 hours) made the transition and travel day pretty easy and the team hit the ground running with an afternoon training at Costa Rica's national training center. It was remarkably windy during practice, but the U.S. players got in a good workout as they begin to focus on the opening match against Haiti on March 10.
A light jog to for the U.S. U-17s to stretch their legs...
