The afternoon session Monday couldn't have been in a more idyllic setting as the U.S. trained under partly sunny skies at the gorgeous facility of Pumas. A winding road and a 300-yard long tunnel lead you to the main training field nestled around a former quarry. Dozens of U.S. and Mexican media were on hand as Jurgen Klinsmann put the team through the paces for just under 90 minutes. While 19 players were on the field, Landon Donovan and Terrence Boyd were touching down in Mexico City. The Mexican-Americans were the popular choices for media following training, this game clearly carrying special meaning for each.
