U.S. head coach Bruce Arena brought a relatively untested group to Hampden Park, where his side earned a 1-1 draw after Josh Wolff converted from the penalty spot in the ninth minute. Two players – forward Chris Rolfe and defender Heath Pearce – made their international debuts, and Eddie Gaven made his first career start for the full men’s team at right midfield.
DaMarcus Beasley is the only U.S. player on the current roster who saw action that day, while Tim Howard stood in reserve.
