After 36 hours, four plane rides, two bus rides and five airports, the U.S. U-17 Men's National team has safely and soundly arrived in Kano, Nigeria.
Our journey began in Bradenton, moved to Tampa via bus, took a short hop to Atlanta and a long hop across the ocean to Lagos.
From Lagos, and after a lengthy layover, the US boarded a charter flight that took a quick pit stop in Abuja before continuing to Kano.
Yes, it was a long day, but everything went smoothly as Nigeria welcomed the Americans with open arms.
As we get settled into the team hotel, we will be back to provide full and exclusive coverage of the US youngsters as they begin a campaign through their first world championship. Be sure to check out ussoccer.com often to stay abreast of all the happenings from Nigeria.
