Davies Continues Recovery from Oct. 13 Accident
WASHINGTON, D.C. (Oct. 23, 2009) - Signs continue to be positive in the beginning of the recovery process for U.S. Men’s National Team forward Charlie Davies.
After undergoing surgery Monday to repair a broken left elbow and on Tuesday to stabilize facial fractures, Charlie sat up in bed on Wednesday and was able to take his first steps since the accident on Oct. 13 outside of Washington, D.C., according to his agent Lyle Yorks.
Davies has begun physical rehabilitation, and his spirits have been lifted by the more than 10,000 e-mails of support received from fans in the U.S. and around the world.
Additionally, he has taken calls and received text messages from fellow U.S. MNT players and his teammates from FC Sochaux.
