Teal Bunbury Withdraws From U-23 Men's National Team Roster

Sporting Kansas City forward Teal Bunbury was forced to withdraw from U.S. Under-23 Men's National Team training camp roster after suffering a right ankle contusion in his team's 2-0 loss to Houston in the MLS Western Conference Final. Due to the injury, Bunbury was unable to travel to Germany.

The U-23 MNT is in their second day of training in Duisburg for a camp that runs until Nov. 16. The 36-player squad will play four scrimmages during the week (schedule below). The camp also includes several players who are age-eligible for the U-20 MNT.

U.S. Soccer Youth Technical Director Claudio Reyna will direct the U-23s during the camp while U.S. Under-20 head coach Tab Ramos will lead his age group of players. Newly appointed Under-18 Men’s National Team head coach Richie Williams is also on the staff in Germany.
