U.S. National Futsal Team Scores 11-1 Victory over NY Ecuador FC


MILWAUKEE (Sept. 12, 2008.) - The U.S. National Futsal Team turned in a convincing performance en route to a 10-1 victory over east coast club side, NY Ecuador FC. The win opens an exciting weekend of Futsal at the Kern Center in Milwaukee. The U.S. will be back on the court later on Friday, taking on fellow FIFA Futsal World Cup participants, Japan, at 6 p.m. CT.

Seven different Americans were on the scoresheet in the morning game, with Sandre Naumoski, Jamar Beasley, and Ptah Myers each scoring twice. Denison Cabral, captaining the side on the day, added two assists to the winning effort.

The U.S. recently returned from a tour of Brazil and is in the midst of preparing for the 2008 FIFA Futsal World Cup, which kicks off later this month. The U.S. starts its World Cup campaign on Sept. 30, having been drawn into Group B along with Italy, Portugal, Thailand and Paraguay.
