The four nomination categories include Best Soccer Bar, Best Soccer Blog, Best Soccer Specialty Store and Best Fan Costume, where fans are asked to post personal photos that have the chance to be chosen as a nominee. During the nomination process, ussoccer.com is calling on national team supporters to make their voices heard by submitting their favorites and discussing the nominations in the forums on ussoccer.com as well as on various social media outlets.

Fans who want to provide a personal photo for Best Fan Costume can do so by posting pictures on the Best of U.S. Soccer Forum on ussoccer.com, adding a photo to U.S. Soccer's Facebook page or tweeting a photo to U.S. Soccer. Participants will be able to follow along throughout the 2010 “Best of” Awards by leaving comments and keeping track of the latest voting news and developments on ussoccer.com

In a whirlwind year, the U.S. captured a first place finish in group play at the FIFA World Cup for the first time in 80 years, and the team’s dramatic performances garnered record television ratings for the ESPN and Univision and captured the imagination of millions of Americans. The MNT's exploits in South Africa are sure to dominate this year's awards ballot.

There were also important contributions to the year from the Women's National Team, who defeated Germany twice and hoisted the Algarve Cup; Youth National Teams, including an appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup; as well as the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, which wrapped up its third season in July.

The full list of categories will be announced on Monday, Nov. 22, and fans will have nearly three weeks to vote. During that time fans around the country can review nominees, watch video and decide which entrant they deem most worthy of the prize. Winners of the 2010 Best of U.S. Soccer Awards will be announced in the middle of December on ussoccer.com.
