While the U.S. travels to Buenos Aires on Monday ahead of Wednesday's match with Egypt, other nations will be heading home after the World Youth Championship field was trimmed to 16 teams this past weekend. The U.S. finished second in their group after a 1-1 draw with Group C winners Ukraine, and will face Group A runner-up Egypt on June 27 in Buenos Aires. Costa Rica proved to be the surprise of the first round, winning their first three matches to capture the Group E crown. The Ticos joined Brazil and Argentina as the only three teams to post perfect 3-0 records in the first round.
