U.S. U-15 GNT Comes Together For Training Camp in Florida
CARSON, Calif. (Aug. 9, 2010) -- The U.S. Under-15 Girls' National Team will come together for a training camp from Aug. 22-28 in Sunrise, Fla.
U.S. head coach Mike Dickey will bring 24 players to the camp, all born in 1995, and this group will form the core of the team that will attempt to qualify for the 2012 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan, a country which has never before participated in a FIFA Women’s World Cup at any level.
The U.S. U-15s will play several as yet-to-be confirmed matches during the camp. Forward Amber Munerlyn is the leading scorer for the U-15s in 2010, having scored three goals in four matches against youth club, adult women’s club, international and college competition.
