U-17 Men's National Team Set to Train in Sunrise, Fla. and Bogota, Colombia

The U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team will come together on Wednesday, Aug. 4, for a training camp that will begin in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and continue in Bogota, Colombia. Head coach Wilmer Cabrera will bring 22 players into the final training camp before the start of the Fall 2010 Semester of the U.S. Soccer Residency Program.

The team will train in Sunrise, Fla., before departing for Bogota on Aug. 8. Cabrera, a native of Colombia, will lead the team during two matches against the Colombian U-17 MNT on Aug. 10 and Aug. 13.

There are five players traveling with the team who have not been part of the Residency Program in the past, including Ricardo Aldape, Jared Hegardt, Cole Nagy, Kevin Rozo and Danny Zaid. Nagy, who will be part of the Real Salt Lake-Arizona Development Academy team in the 2010-11 season, is one of 13 players to represent Academy clubs.
