Brad Davis Added to U.S. MNT Roster

CHICAGO (March 19, 2013) – Houston Dynamo midfielder Brad Davis has been added to the U.S. Men’s National Team roster ahead of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Costa Rica and Mexico. With the addition, there will be 24 players training in Denver.

Davis has earned six caps for the United States, scoring the game-winning penalty in the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup final. A finalist for the 2011 MLS Most Valuable Player award, he is a two-time MLS Cup champion.

The U.S. will face Costa Rica at sold-out Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on March 22 at 8 p.m. MT. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN, WatchESPN and UniMas. Four days later, the USA seeks its first ever World Cup qualifying win against Mexico on its home soil. Kickoff from Estadio Azteca is set for 10:30 p.m. ET, with coverage on ESPN, WatchESPN and Univision beginning at 9:30 p.m. ET. As part of the qualifier in Denver, U.S. Soccer is hosting a series of fan activities including a Pep Rally on March 21 at the Paramount Theatre in downtown Denver.
