Johnson Day-to-Day with Bruised Calf
CARSON, Calif. (January 25, 2006) - Good news on the injury front as Eddie Johnson has been diagnosed with a bruised right calf after an x-ray revealed no structural damage. Johnson played 21 minutes in the USA's 0-0 draw against Canada on Jan. 22 before the injury forced him to the sidelines.
Johnson has experienced considerable improvement over the last two days and is listed as day-to-day.
The U.S. is four days away from their second match of 2006, a meeting with Norway this Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
