LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Thursday, August 25, 2005) – Reigning MLS Cup Champion D.C. United will clash with the Colorado Rapids in the 2005 National Soccer Hall of Fame Game on Monday, August 29, live exclusively on Fox Soccer Channel at 1 p.m. ET.
The friendly match, which will be played in Oneonta, New York, is part of the 2005 National Soccer Hall of Fame induction ceremony, featuring new inductees John Harkes, Marcelo Balboa and Tab Ramos. Harkes and Balboa will don the jersey of their former clubs one last time and play in the friendly match. Ramos, a standout for the MetroStars and the first player to be signed to an MLS contract will watch his national team teammates and MLS rivals battle again from the sideline.
