U.S. U-17 MNT Plays Real Madrid Academy to 1-1 Draw

MADRID, Spain (Nov. 1, 2013) – The U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team earned a 1-1 draw with Real Madrid’s U-15 academy side in the second match of its Madrid Tour.

Joe Gallardo scored in a second straight match for the USA, staking the U-17s to an early 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute. However, the U.S. let another late lead slip as Real Madrid tied the score with five minutes left in regulation.

The U.S. U-17s are now 0-0-2 on their Madrid Tour that culminates with a match against Rayo Vallecano’s U-17 academy side on Thursday, Oct. 3.
