U.S. U-17 Women Head to Sunrise, Florida For Training Camp
CHICAGO (March 11, 2008) - Coming off a championship at the Future Starts Tournament in Auckland, New Zealand, last February, the U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team heads to Sunrise, Florida, for a training camp from March 20-26 as it continues preparation for qualifying for the 2008 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup. U.S. head coach Kazbek Tambi will bring 24 players to the camp that will feature a match against the University of Miami on March 25 in Sunrise. Tambi called in 17 of the 18 players that won the Future Stars Tournament, with the exception of midfielder Jenna Richmond, who tore her ACL while in New Zealand.
