U.S. U-17 '89 MNT Fall 4-0 to Chicago Fire

CHICAGO (Feb. 7, 2006) - The U.S. Under-17 ’89 Men’s National Team fell 4-0 to the Chicago Fire this afternoon at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

Rookies Brian Plotkin and Calen Carr and veterans Diego Gutierrez and Andy Herron scored for Chicago.

The match, which was three 30-minute periods, was the first of three matches the U-17 Residency players will play against MLS teams that are spending part of their preseason in Bradenton. The U-17s will next face D.C. United on Feb. 11, before taking on the MetroStars on Feb. 12 in the second match of a doubleheader that is part of the Second Annual Tom Fitzgerald Soccer Festival in Tampa.
