USA's Rival - Norway

ALL ABOUT NORWAY
The epic clash in the quarterfinals of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2003 between the USA and Norway features only two teams to make the Final Four in all three Women’s World Cup.  Norway is also the only team besides the U.S. to win the tournament and also owns one of the two Olympic gold medals every contested in women's soccer. Besides the U.S., Norway is the most successful women's soccer team in world history.

FIFA Women’s World Ranking: 2
Prior Women’s World Cup final appearances: 3 – 1991 (2nd), 1995 (1st), 1999 (4th)

HOW THEY GOT HERE
Norway scored 21 goals and allowed just three over their six qualification matches. Their only blemish was a 1-1 tie, which occurred after they had already sewn up first place with two big wins earlier over France (3-0 and 3-1), the only two losses for France in qualifying.
