Academy Players of the Week for the Week of April 5

Ryan Morris

Position: Midfield

Ryan Morris helped lift his team to their second win in the last four games. His two goals were crucial in his team's 3-1 win over conference opponent South Central Premier, adding to his current tally to give him ten goals in 12 games. Ryan leads the team in goals this season and has consistently scored in matches, finding the net in November, December, March and April.

This weekend NJSA 04 will face divisional opponent, Baltimore Bays in an important head to head match. The Bays carry a one point advantage in the current standings, but have two games in hand.

Matthew Hoffman-Johnson
Club: Seacoast United
Position: Forward

Matthew Hoffman-Johnson scored two goals in an impressive 5-1 win over BW Gottschee NYC on Sunday before leaving the game in the 80th minute. Not only were the goals his first on the Academy season but this is also the first time a Seacoast United player has scored two goals in one game.

Seacoast United’s next four games are on the road. They travel to the D.C. area to take on conference opponents this weekend and then challenge divisional opponents New England Revolution and FC Greater Boston the following weekend.
