U.S. Soccer Youth Technical Director Claudio Reyna to Preview Core Elements of U.S. Soccer National Curriculum
Presentation in Conjunction With U.S. Soccer Coaching Symposium;
Reyna To Introduce Core Elements of U.S. Soccer National Curriculum
CHICAGO (May 21, 2010) â€“ U.S. Soccer Youth Technical Director Claudio Reyna will conduct a presentation at the U.S. Soccer Coaching Symposium in conjunction with the U.S. Menâ€™s National Team Send-Off Series Match against Czech Republic on May 25, 2010. Reynaâ€™s hour-long presentation will preview the Core Elements of U.S. Soccer National Curriculum at 4:30 p.m. ET in East Hartford.
Reyna will discuss the current state of the game as well as the need to address the quality of coaching in the U.S. As part of the preview of the Core Elements of the U.S. Soccer National Curriculum for Under-6 through Under-12 coaches, Reyna will also discuss the process for creating the core elements of the curriculum.
Attendance at the session is limited and coaches must register in advance (register now). There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is required.
The presentation will be in conjunction with U.S. Soccerâ€™s Coaching Symposium, taking place May 24-25 in East Hartford, Conn. The two-day symposium, which has sold out, will be led by U.S. Soccer Director of Scouting Tony Lepore. Lepore will discuss U.S. Soccerâ€™s scouting network and give a match analysis after the game.
The U.S. will face two of the traditionally stronger teams from Europe in the Czech Republic and Turkey in the Send-Off Series prior to departing for South Africa. Nearly 27,000 tickets have already been sold for the match against Czech Republic on May 25 in East Hartford, Conn.
