U.S. U-18 MNT Takes Second Place at Limoges Tournament

LIMOGES, France (Oct. 13, 2013) – The U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team capped off the 2013 Limoges Tournament with a 2-0 victory against Poland. With the USA’s 2-0-1 performance at the three-game tournament, the team captured second place at the event.

Ahinga Selemani headed home Emerson Hyndman’s corner kick inside the near left post in the 21st minute to take a 1-0 lead.

The U.S. then benefited from a Poland own goal in the 39th minute. The U-18 MNT’s Andrija Novakovich led the attack on that sequence, and his shot attempt from a few yards inside the box deflected off of the left foot of a Poland defender and into the net for the USA’s two-goal lead.
