US U18 MNT Drops First Game of Lisbon International Tournament to Norway

LISBON, Portugal (May 27, 2010) -- The U.S. U-18 Men's National Team battled Norway but came up just short in the first game of the Lisbon International Tournament in Portugal. A second-half penalty stike by Norway's Ørjan Hopen held up as the lone goal of the game.

Hopen was able to slip the ball past the diving Earl Edwards. The U.S. defense pressed hard for the remainder of the game, but was unable to find the equalizer.

The U.S. team continues the event today against Romania at 11 a.m. ET.
