Speas Replaces Packwood for U20 MNT Training Camp

CHICAGO (Dec. 16, 2009) -- Midfielder Ben Speas will replace Will Packwood at the Under-20 Men's National Team training camp that kicks off today in Chula Vista, Calif. Packwood will remain in Birmingham, England, after coming down with an illness.

Speas was part of the University of Akron team that finished an undefeated season just short of a national championship, falling in a penalty shootout in the final. Speas has been part of various youth national teams in the past, up to the U-18 MNT, but Chula Vista will be his first training camp under Thomas Rongen.
