U.S. Under-20 WNT to Train in Sunrise, Fla.


CHICAGO (Sept. 15, 2008) -- The U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team will kick off their first of two camps prior to the 2008 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup, training in Sunrise, Fla. from Sept. 21-28. Head coach Tony DiCicco has 21 players into the camp, which he will use to make his final World Cup roster selections.

The players heading to Sunrise will be available to play in their collegiate matches on Sunday (if applicable) and will return in time for games scheduled on Sunday, Sept. 28.

The U.S. has been drawn into Group B of the 2008 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Chile alongside France, Argentina and China. The team will open against France on November 19 before facing Argentina on November 22, with both games taking place at the Estadio Nelson Oyarzun in Chillan. The team will then travel to Estadio German Becker in Temuco to conclude group play against China.
