Kickoff for U.S. WNT-Brazil Match Changed to 3 a.m. ET; ESPN2 Will Still Air Match at 7 a.m. ET on Tape Delay

CHICAGO (April 3, 2012) – The U.S. Women’s National Team’s Kirin Challenge Cup match today against Brazil has been pushed up to 3 a.m. ET due to impending inclement weather in Chiba, Japan.

The match will still air on ESPN2 and WatchESPN at 7 a.m. ET, but will now be on tape delay. ESPN3 will provide the match on demand starting at 9 a.m. ET.

During the match, U.S. Soccer will provide live, limited in-game Twitter updates @ussoccer_wnt.

The U.S. Women opened the Kirin Challenge Cup with a 1-1 draw on Sunday at Yurtec Stadium in Sendai, Japan. U.S. forward Alex Morgan scored her team-leading 12th goal of the year to overcome a first-half deficit against the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup champion Japan.

The Kirin Challenge Cup features three of the top four teams in the world: FIFA’s top-ranked U.S., No. 3 Japan and fourth-ranked Brazil. Japan and Brazil conclude the exhibition tournament with a match at 7 a.m. ET on April 5 at Homes Stadium in Kobe, Japan.
