Amaechi Igwe

On his initial reaction to being drafted by the New England Revolution:
“I knew New England was a good club. I’ll have the opportunity to try to get on the first team and start my first year. I know they’ve gone to the finals the last two or three years, so obviously they’re a good side.”

On what the last couple days have been like:
“This morning I was really anxious and nervous, and during the draft, I didn’t think I would get like that but I was kind of freaking out a little bit. Up until this point I hadn’t really been thinking about it, but now it’s where I’ll be for the next three years. I know it’s a good place to be, so it’s kind of a relief. I’m just excited to start.”

On his current mindset now the he knows he’ll be playing in New England:
“As much as I just wanted to focus on qualifying, it’s hard knowing how big this (getting drafted) is. Now that it’s over, I don’t have school or anything like that to worry about except just playing soccer, so it’s definitely a good thing for my soccer career.”

On what he’s looking forward to about playing in New England:
“I’m looking forward to playing my first game there and just seeing the city.”

Anthony Wallace

“I’m excited it’s over, it’s a big relief. I’m excited to know which city I’m going to be in, too, and what team I’m going to be playing for.”

On what he’s looking forward to about playing in Dallas:
“I’ve actually been to the stadium. It’s a really nice place to play in, the atmosphere is pretty amazing. I don’t really know too much about the team, but I know some of the players I used to play with a couple years back.”

On what the last couple days have been like:
“The last couple days I wouldn’t say I was nervous, but just anxious because I didn’t really know where I was going to end up. There was a lot of buzz about a whole bunch of different teams but I didn’t really know what to follow, so it’s good to know now.”

Bryan Arguez

“I’m extremely happy. It’s going to be good playing with everyone they have there. Freddy Adu is with us now, Jeff Cunningham, Jason Kreis, everyone. So it’s going to be really fun.”
