United States vs. Guatemala Tickets Going Fast

HERNDON, Va. (Friday, August 4, 2000) - Ticket sales are brisk for the September 3 World Cup qualifying match at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., featuring the United States and Guatemala at 2:00 p.m., followed by an MLS match between D.C. United and the New England Revolution at 4:30 p.m.

Approximately 75 percent of the lower level seats are sold with the remainder being held for the U.S. Soccer family (U.S. Soccer Federation, U.S. Youth Soccer Association, U.S. Amateur Soccer Association). Only upper level seats are available to the general public, and those are selling rapidly. VIP level and Mezzanine level seats are approximately 90 percent sold out as well.

"Because lower level seats sold so fast initially, we decided to hold the remaining seats for the U.S. Soccer contingent for their needs," said D.C. United President & General Manager Kevin Payne. "We expect their purchases to sell out the remainder of the lower level, with the 400 level (upper level) to sell rapidly as well. We anticipate only 500 level seats to be available day-of-game."
