U.S. forward FREDDY ADU
On how he is liking Hong Kong so far:
It’s a beautiful place. This is my first time here and I’m really enjoying myself. We just got in last night but driving in from the airport we saw all the building and came over the bridge and it’s beautiful here. It’s a great place to have a tournament. There is just an aura about this place. We feel good, people are treating us well.
On how he feels heading into the Olympics:
In our country, the Olympics are so big and everyone will be watching. We just want to go out there and make our country proud of us.
On a difficult Group B of the Olympics:
It’s definitely a tough group. A lot of people aren’t giving us much of a chance to get out of the group but I think we have the team to get out. I think we can do very well and maybe surprise some people there. I think we have a chance to medal if we go out there and play our game.

It feels great. I’m really excited to be a part of it. We have a very good team with some very good players. I hope I can be a leader on this team and I hope I can have a positive influence .We have a group that’s very talented and for the most part I’m just here to be part of the team.
On whether he likes what he sees so far with the team:
I do like what I see. It’s a strong group of players, very talented. They’re making me feel a lot younger!
On his expectations for the U.S. at the Olympics:
I think we expect to get out of the group. That’s the mentality that we need to have going in. After that, anything can happen.
