U-15/16 Performer of the Week: Devin Cook
Club: Lonestar Aztex Academy
Devin Cook shined in goal for Lonestar Aztex Academy during a 2-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo and during Lonestar’s 0-0 result against Texas Rush AJ Auxerre the following day. The win and draw on the road boosted the team to 2-0-4 overall record. Lonestar Aztex Academy has a full slate coming up with matchups against Solar SC, Dallas Texans and Classis Elite at home before traveling to the Winter Showcase where Cook play two games with Lonestar and participate on the ‘93 Academy Select team against LA Galaxy.
U-17/18 Performer of the Week: Darwin Jones
Club: Washington Premier FC
Darwin Jones and Washington Premier FC made it three wins from three games during their recent away trip to Northern California. His strong performances and four goals helped lift Washington Premier FC to the top of their division with a little over half of their Academy games left in the season. The club will be looking to continue their winning ways against California Development Academy and Cal Odyssey this weekend in preparation for Phoenix and the Winter Showcase where they will compete against Empire United, Miami FC Kendall and Andromeda SC.
