Exclusive Soccer-Specific Dartfish Webinar Online

CHICAGO (Wednesday, April 16, 2003) - U.S. Soccer and Dartfish have combined to bring a free 30-minute online webinar to players, coaches, referees, administrators and fans of soccer in the United States. The webinar is an excellent introduction to Dartfish, a ground-breaking advanced video analysis software that takes athletic performance and game analysis to the highest level.

"The Dartfish software is a tremendous tool for the U.S. Women's National Team," said April Heinrichs, technical director and head coach of the U.S. WNT.  "The ability to analyze individual and team techniques and tactics will be critical for our team as we continue preparing for the 2003 Women's World Cup.  DartTrainer gives our coaches the ability to provide immediate feedback to our athletes, therefore enhancing our ability to address technical and tactical issues (in an efficient and timely manner)."

The well-received webinar was originally conducted live for U.S. Soccer coaches on April 14 in an interactive setting.  The soccer-specific webinar is titled "An Introduction to Dartfish DartTrainer 2.5 Enhanced Video Training Software for Soccer" and is available for the next month at

The seminar includes exclusive commentary from U.S. Women's National Team goalkeeper coach Phil Wheddon, who highlights specifically how the U.S. coaches use the technology in their day-to-day training.  The session also easily progresses through the uses of the revolutionary software, highlighting the "In the Action," "Analyze the Action" and "StroMotion" features.  The webinar includes easy-to-follow "how to" instructions.

Dartfish was founded in 1998 and is based in Switzerland where they have seven patents and won the 2002 Horizon Award as the Sports Technology of the Year. Their "SimulCam" received an Emmy nomination in 2000 and 45 athletes using the software in their training medaled at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.  For more information, contact Dartfish at or
