U.S. MNT Forward Jozy Altidore Returns to Full Training
PRETORIA, South Africa (June 8, 2010) - U.S. forward Jozy Altidore returned to full training with the team this afternoon after recovering from a mild right ankle sprain suffered on June 2.
“I feel great. The ankle feels fine,“ said Altidore following Tuesday’s session at Pilditch Stadium. “It’s a little sore, but I had no issues participating in all the exercises today. I’m happy to be part of the group again.”
Altidore had been doing individual fitness work since last Friday, and is now focused on getting ready for the USA’s opening game on June 12 against England.
“Training was good,” added Altidore. “The team looks really focused. You can tell everyone is excited for this weekend.”
